1- Performance Test
To evaluate the compatibility of the hydrate inhibitor with the corrosion inhibitor, a test called corrosion compatibility is taken.
2- Compatibility Test
1-2- Foaming Tests
It is important that any chemical added to the South Pars system does not foam excessively. For this reason TROS performed foaming tendency tests with the fluids dosed containing KHI and MEG dosed with MDEA.
2-2- Emulsification Tendency
To ensure that the candidate product did not adversely impact on condensate dehydration or water quality, emulsion tendency tests were performed. The selected HYTREAT KHI formulation could not affect the condensate/water separation process when in the presence of MEG dosed with MDEA or with the recommended corrosion inhibitor, EC 1154A.
